THE conversation

And I’m not talking about sex. It’s the conversation that must happen when an older driver needs to give up their car keys. No one likes to think about that possibility but as folks live longer there’s a good chance that you may need to have that conversation with a parent or friend.

As part of Older Drivers Safety Awareness Week, today’s tip sheet deals with the conversation.

As difficult as it is to give up the car keys, there are alternatives. Public transit is used by many elderly people so they can continue to get around independently. And Way2Go Cortland, along with RSVP, offers a Bus Buddy program to help new bus riders become more comfortable. Give us a call (607-756-4198) to schedule a Bus Buddy.
