Rich are reckless drivers?

A new study by a research team at the University of California at Berkeley shows that the wealthy are more likely to engage in some antisocial and unethical behaviors, including not yielding to pedestrians in the sidewalk.

The study is garnering quite a bit of media attention. Watch this video or read about the study at DCstreetsblog

Fascinating study.

  1. Yes, you’re right. Not yielding to pedestrians in a crosswalk is illegal.

  2. Don’t you mean “not yielding to pedestrians in the *crosswalk”? If so, then it’s not only “antisocial” and “unethical,” it’s a violation of § 1151 of Article 27 of Title 7 of the New York State Vehicle and Traffic Law, and I can’t imagine it’s not illegal in other states as well.
