Ford looking forward

Ford just released an internal report looking at the effects of carsharing, carpooling and bicycling.

The report looks at 13 trends for 2013, and this article in AdWeek focuses on Gen Y and their mobility habits.

“Ford decided to make the report public this year as a content marketing initiative showing that the brand is ‘not myopic, but is going beyond making cars into being an enabler in mobility opportunities.’ ”

Surveys show that 13% of GenYers carpool to work, 7% walk and 88% want to live in an urban setting.

Those are numbers that companies, expecially automakers, should pay attention to.
