Biking gains ground

When subways aren’t working, buses are full, and there’s no gas for cars, how do you get around?

Some residents of New York City, Long Island, and New Jersey are discovering that walking and bicycling can get them where they need to go.

Bicycling especially has taken off, according to this article in the New York Times, because it’s so much easier to bike when there’s fewer cars.

Some have decided that it makes sense to continue to bike even after the crisis is over.

Some are very glad they had a bike and are able to bike.

How about you? Could you walk or bike to work if you had to?
