Do you know…?

the laws in New York State governing pedestrians and bicyclists?

Did you know –

*  that parents can be held responsible for bicycle violations by their minor children?

* if there is no crosswalk, pedestrians must yield the right-of-way to all vehicles on the roadway?

*  where sidewalks are not provided, a pedestrian is required to walk on the left side of the roadway facing traffic?

* all bicyclists age one through 13 are required to wear approved bicycle helmets when they are operators or passengers on bicycles?

* a bicyclist must never wear more than one earphone attached to a radio, tape player or other audio device?
