Our roads, bridges, railroads…

and transit systems are falling apart and costing this country $129 billion a year, according to this Washington Post story.

And this will affect economic growth.

A report by the American Society of Civil Engineers predicts that “without infrastructure investment, 870,000 jobs would be lost and economic growth would be stifled to the tune of $3.1 trillion by 2020.”

And without economic growth, says ASCE, there will be fewer jobs and less money for those who can find jobs.

Of course, Democrats and Republicans are deeply divided about how to address this problem. Need I say more?
