The Community Transportation Association of America (CTAA) technical assistance grant that Cortland County was awarded last year has officially started.
Last night Charlie Rutkowski from CTAA conducted a transportation focus group made up of 10 transit users in the county. The discussion focused on transportation issues and unmet needs of individuals who use public transit.
This morning we brought together more than 30 representatives from organizations, agencies and departments within the county to talk about transportation. The Mobility Visioning Workshop focused on unmet mobility needs and looked at transportation barriers, problems and possible solutions.
Both sessions were very informative and the knowledge gained will help us move forward with the project to improve transportation services in the county.
